Lookie lookie

THIS LITTLE guy was my little find at the thrift store last week for .90 cents!!!

My all time favorite find last week this AWESOME camera---score!!!

I have collected vintage cameras since 1994 and when I met my dh way back he also collected ( it was meant to be --:) ) I have no clue what it is about owls but when I go to the thrift stores I must look there for a cute owl. If you know me I really am nervous around birds flying around me. It is weird to love these cute owls when I can't stand to be around real flying birds/bats. I guess its their cuteness and they don't fly---:)

Do you collect anything? Or do you collect something that you don't understand why? I also have a collection of Marilyn Monroe dolls( 5) my dad bought me. Right now they are in the original boxes but when the kids move out I plan to have my own room where they can be out for all to see. I would love to hear about collections you might have. have a super duper sunday and remember to smile-----:) gina

thinking outside the box

Here I used coins on my layout. Why not?

Here I used electrical tape on my layout and I looped pp to make a fun embellie down the side of the pic.

Most of my friends know I love using the net bags from oranges/onions. I found a different type of bag and I had to get it along with oranges--heehee I used it to make the heart.

What do you do with those pins that the police hand out ---use them on a layout of course.

Here I used pop tabs for photo turns. The challenge over at Scrap Outside the box is new --check it out.
Did most of these layouts over the weekend---I hope you enjoyed seeing them and maybe got hit by the inspiration bug.
I love using things around the house for embellies or to make pp. Have you ever done this if not give it a shot. You never know you might likey and your going green---:)

Rainy Wednesday

Another day without my computer. Oh well --the only thing I really miss are my favorite blogs and web sites I had saved but I cant remember the web address( some I have saved on my blog--thank goodness for blogs--:) )

Yesterday I scrapped with my friend Jami. I worked on the new challenge up at Scrap Outside the Box. I think she did too or she talked about it( my brain is a little sleepy still so forgive me). I also worked on a lo just for fun. I had to leave around 2:00 to go to Wyatt's school for a conference. He needed to be tested last year for reading but some how they forgot. His teacher this year had no idea. She said she would look into it. Everything looks good he behaves and is doing well except for the reading.

When we came back I started dinner. I made spaghetti and cheesy garlic bread. After dinner I worked on a layout to submit to a dt call. I never really thought I would want to be one of those girls on a dt but I have found some blogs that are really fun and inspiring. I can see myself on those dt's --just not sure if my style is what they are looking for but it does not hurt to try right? I am not one of those people that keeps up with the newest and greatest scrappy stuff so what you see is what you get. I do have a thing for pp--I did have a thing for chipboard and had tons before I went through it to share( made me feel good). Buttons whole different story--I am always looking at buttons at the store or at the thrift its nuts! I was going back through some old layouts and I found three cool layouts I remember scrapping with Jami. i think we found a layout to scrap lift from a mag or on line. Anyhow the layouts have tons of buttons and they look so cool--I need to do another like that. Have you ever been into stickers? I think this will never die for me I collected stickers when I was in 4th and 5th grade( back then I lived in the country played with paper dolls, Barbies and watched the smurfs --don't judge me ) I still have all my books filled with those oh so awesome smelly stickers, Michael Jackson, snorks, and many more--I looked those( smelly) up on ebay they sell for so much unused of course. I remember when I first started scrapping I bought stickers and put them on every layout. now when you look back it looks as if they are floating in mid air on the layout. I didnt have a clue but it was fun. Look its been 12 years and my love for scrapping has only grown. ___:) I have met new friends through the scrapping world and ONE great friend ( actually met her in real life last April) I have to say its not a fad. The only sad part my lss closed where I could get QK for 30% at all times and my beloved Bazzill cardstock.

Well I am off to clean. Have an awesome Wednesday and remember to smile -----:) gina

Oh no its monday!

Another day without my computer_-----:( I can't wait for my power cord to get here.
I have been thinking what my friend( Jami) said that the weekends go to0 fast. I think the seasons go to fast. I was looking out the window at our neighbors tree one day it was filled with beautiful orange colored leaves the next day it is naked. I hate seeing the trees naked---its so depressing. It seems like yesterday the trees had buds on them and we were waiting on them to grow leaves. I guess its true that the older you get the years seem to fly by.

What is new? We went to the thrift store to find a light for Dave's den but could not find any we like. I did how ever found an awesome camera( I just don;t look for polaroids). I will post a pic of it when i get my computer back up and running. I got it for 8.89 someone on Ebay is selling it for 180.00 how crazy is that?

Last thursday I put our tree up and the kids put their ornaments on it. Again I will post pics later. I am way ahead of the tree thing but I was in the mood and the kids were all in school so no head ache. ---hee hee!!!

Well until next time ---take care and have an awesome Monday----:)

might be missing in action

My computer finally had enough. Some of you know my computer has been acting up for awhile but a couple days ago it decided to not turn on any longer. With dave still laid off there's no money for a new one. Right now I am on my dd( mac ). I had plans to try out for a dt and all my pics are gone--- don't even get me started. I did have most of them backed up on discs and some are on my camera so that is a plus. I guess I should look on the bright side of things ---even though its very hard these days.

I wanted to scrap today with Jami but with my computer problems I just couldn't take it. I decided to take a nap to relax --or should I say try. Sorry Jami !!!!
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend. Until the next time take care and remember to smile-------------------:) gina

this layout is of my best friend from the net( we actually got to scrap in real life).made the flowers from the inside of the loops from my new font Harvest. cute are they not?
here we are scrapping!!! more made flowers with the loops and the inside is liquid pearls
one of my favorite layouts from yesterday
my girl!! found a layout in one of my older Simple Scrapbooks with the title --had to copy it

just a simple layout of Sam from last years tree.

Again all layouts were made of pp, cs and QK. I have to say I am loving this challenge I will continue until I am tired of the basics but that does not mean i can't add ribbon, stickles and other eye candy every once in awhile. its my challenge so i can change or stop when ever i can.
THANKS JAMI FOR SCRAPPING!!!!!
